Jumbo Mortgages

Any loan that is larger than a conventional conforming loan is a jumbo loan. In general these loans are for borrowers who are self-employed, high level executives and professional people. The underwriting is a little different. We do jumbo loans "off-the-shelf " up to $3 million. We do larger loans on a case-by-case basis. We do not have an upper limit for jumbo loans.

Approximately 15% of our loans are jumbo loans. The underwriting is a little more detailed but in general we have a very good record placing jumbo loans. We also do what are referred to as non QM loans. These are loans that have different underwriting requirements. They are usually slightly higher in rate.
